The Pivotal Cloud Foundry platform has become a critical service in many customer environments and as such the need to monitor the environment has become more critical. The Splunk PCF app was created to monitor the PCF health from an operational perspective as well as from an application perspective. The Splunk PCF app helps improve MTTR by increasing app availability and service availability.
While the nozzle brings data in, the Splunk Pivotal Cloud Foundry Health app is focused on visualizing the data and representing around the best practices that the HealthWatch app has established.

The Splunk PCF App was created and modeled after metrics that are collected from the PCF HealthWatch App as well as metrics that were generated by the PCF HealthWatch app itself. The PCF HealthWatch app is limited in size and scope for now but the intent is to deliver more content as it becomes available and as use cases broaden with customer feedback.
