Ever wonder what you are spending all of your hard earned money on in Amazon? This fun App will give you some insight on just that.

Installation Instructions:

The App only needs to be Installed on your Search Head.

Create Index:

[amazon_purchases]
coldPath = $SPLUNK_DB/amazon_purchases/colddb
enableDataIntegrityControl = 0
enableTsidxReduction = 0
homePath = $SPLUNK_DB/amazon_purchases/db
maxTotalDataSizeMB = 512000
thawedPath = $SPLUNK_DB/amazon_purchases/thaweddb

Create an Amazon Order History Report:

To create an Order History Report:
1. Go to Order History Reports in Your Account - https://www.amazon.com/gp/b2b/reports
2. Select Items as the report type from drop-down menu, then fill in the start date, end date, and report name.
3. Click Request Report.
When the report is complete, you'll receive an e-mail notification. To retrieve the report, visit Order History Reports and click Download.

Upload the data

Upload the data into Splunk via the GUI:
- Set sourecetype as amazon_purchases
- Set index as amazon_purchases
