Details
This app sends captured Splunk dashboards according to the urls and cron schedules provided by the user. The page will be captured as PNG image and sent by email.

Splunk Report Sender

Capture and send Splunk dashboards periodically. Powered by 10Data

Synopsis

Splunk's built-in PDF scheduler cannot be used with form dashboards. This app works with any page specified by a URL, captures it as a PNG image, sends it by email according to the cron schedule provided by user.

System Requirements

  • Operating System: *nix. This app uses cron to schedule report generation and delivery, which is not available on Windows systems.

Additional Software Requirements (Not needed in version 0.2)

Configuration

  • Modify the first 2 lines in $SPLUNK/etc/apps/report_sender/bin/screenshot.js to configure your Splunk username and password.
  • Casperjs or a link to the executable must be in /usr/local/bin
