The application indexes DHCPD logs and HOSTAP logs as well as kismet wireless logs from drones. It attempts to correlate in one place IP addresses to MAC addresses of wireless MAC addresses to assist with network troubleshooting and security issues that may arise.
Added panel that combines association/disassociation.
Release tested for 6.0 compatibility.
Added tail command to 1 hour mac search...removed radial gauge and replaced it with a single number.
Added new screenshot. New panels in the app that default to a 4 hour view. 1 hour MAC address gauge is unchanged.
This app is written using Juniper NetScreen firewalls and Apple Airport Extreme base stations.
This version utilizes the transaction command to try to parse the kismet log files more efficiently.
Field extractions for mac and manuf are required for the graphs to function.
Added new screenshot. New panels in the app default to a 4 hour view.
Adjusted version checking...hopefully.
After attending conf2012 in Vegas, I figured out how broken this app is. I have adjusted some items so it should now index kismet logs in the native very long format. So no renaming of the files should be required. This app is written for the files to be located in the /var/log/kismet directory currently. I have adjusted the 24 hour mac and manuf graph and the radial gauge searches to use new sourcetypes.
This is still pretty broken, but it works with default filenames now. I am working on figuring out where to linebreak the kismet log file. This will take some time.
Added radial gauge indicating how many MAC address Kismet has seen in the last 60 minutes.
