2 Steps is a synthetic monitoring tool that allows you to record interactions with almost any application or website, and create tests that can be replayed on a schedule, allowing for real-time monitoring of performance and availability. Results are sent to Splunk for analysis and review. The easy-to-use editor allows anyone to create tests in minutes, without scripting and with little to no training.
Unlike Selenium-based monitoring tools, 2 Steps uses visual recognition to identify user interface elements, functioning much as a human user does. This approach means that 2 Steps is capable of automating and monitoring almost any application that has a graphical interface, including web, mobile, Windows, Citrix, Java and more, without the use of cumbersome, hard to read and costly to maintain scripts.
What's more, 2 Steps is completely native to Splunk; you can create, schedule and monitor tests all without leaving the Splunk interface.
